Clinical Trial Study Nurse Counsellor, Retention Officers and Data Clerk Jobs in Kisumu, Kenya

The Office of Research and Program at Kenyatta National Hospital in collaboration with University of Washington is seeking to employ highly motivated and hardworking individuals in a HIV/TB-related clinical trial study at Kisumu.
 
1. Position: Nurse Counsellor
 
Reporting to: Study Coordinator & Principal Investigator
 
Location: Kisumu County Hospital

Essential Requirements:
  • Must be at least a holder of Diploma certificate in Nursing from a recognized institution with a valid practicing license
  • Must have training and certification in Human Subjects Protection Research experience, counselling and collection of study data
  • The candidate should have at least 1 year experience in HIV/TB Clinical care
  • Must have enough experience in obtaining venous blood samples from infants.
2. Position: Retention Officers
 
Reporting to: Study Coordinator & Principal Investigator
 
Location: Kisumu County Hospital

Essential requirements:
  • At  least D+ in KCSE
  • Have certificate in counselling
  • Fluent in English, Kiswahili and Dholuo common languages among our research participants
  • Must be conversant with the study area
  • Additional required qualifications include Certificates in Human Subjects Protection.
3. Position: Data Clerk
 
Reporting to: Study Coordinator & Principal Investigator
 
Location: Kisumu County Hospital

Essential Requirements:
  • Must have a bachelor degree in mathematics or statistics
  • Minimum one year experience in data entry
  • Proficient  in excel in generating and analyzing study reports
  • Experience in RedCap will be an added advantage
