The organisation is seeking for a qualified, self-driven, innovative,
and energetic professional to be part of its great team in the following
position:
Job title: Marketing and Communications Manager
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Reporting to: Chief Operations Officer
Job overview and summary: The marketing and communications manager will be in charge
of all marketing, brand and communication activities.
This role is the lead on
the development and implementation of brand and product marketing to support
the work of the organisation.
He/she will work across the entire communications
and marketing spectrum covering branding, advertising, marketing campaigns,
media relations, government affairs, digital and events.
Key responsibilities:
- To oversee market research and manage the brand building working closely with the Chief Operations Officer
- To develop and implement the strategy for targeting prospective suppliers and buyers
- To develop and implement cross-channel marketing campaigns driving awareness of the organisation’s brand and the product in Kenya.
- To undertake measurement and evaluation of marketing campaigns/channels and their effectiveness
- To advise the Director, Chief Operating Officer, and other senior staff on all media activity/engagement in Kenya
- To ensure all corporate events are managed to a high standard
- To manage the organisation’s engagement with the Kenyan government liaising with ministers, politicians, diplomats and officials as required in support of its agenda
- To liaise with PR & Communications managers to ensure visibility of the organisation’s brand associated with partners’ brand
