International Hotel Security Manager Job Vacancy in Kenya (Kshs 100K -130K)

Our client, a prestigious International Luxury Hotel company, in Nairobi is looking for a Security Manager. 

The successful candidate will be in charge of daily operation of the security department, train and supervise all security personnel to ensure compliance and proper application of department regulations and hotel policy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising the management on security matters.
• Review policies, procedures and instructions on a regular basis.
• Evaluate possible hazards or threats to security.
• Promote a safety attitude amongst employees.
• Ensure safety of persons in the hotel and property assets.
• Report irregularity in employees and guest behaviour.
• Handle and document loss, damages, and accidents.
• Document and follow up with the necessary persons on any accidents occurring in the hotel premises.
• Investigate theft as reported by guest or employees.
• Participate in weekly department head meetings.
• Coordinate emergencies with the local authorities and review emergency procedures regularly.
• Conduct daily briefing and de-briefing in the absence of the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Minimum education of Bachelors degree in social science or relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years in a similar position in security & safety management.
• Strong knowledge of local laws, investigative methods and fire safety.
• Criminal free record.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Possess professional disposition with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Loss prevention experience will be an added advantage.

Monthly gross salary:  Ksh. 100,000 - 130,000/= (Approx. 1,111 - 1,444 USD) depending on experience
