Our client is in the MotorCycle assembly business with an established factory in Nairobi. 

As part of their expansion and diversification  programme, they are looking for a dynamic and innovative individual to fill in the position of Warehouse / Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing orders
• Security arrangements at the warehouse, scheduling maintenance, repairs and replacement of equipment
• Organising the dispatch and delivery of goods
• Ensuring goods are stored safely
• Implement and maintaining health and safety standards
• Keeping accurate records
• Managing timesheets
• Use IT systems to manage stock levels, delivery times and transport costs;
• Use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle;
• Use data from IT systems to evaluate performance and quality and to plan improvements;
• Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs;
• Manage staff and ensure they are fully trained
• Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers;
• Develop business by gaining new contracts, analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions;
• Understand, work with and possibly help to develop e-commerce;
• Continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures.

Required Capabilities

• A Degree in Commerce ( Supply Chain Management and Logistics)
• Atleast 5yrs working three of which should be in a similar supervisory role
• Excellent analytical and IT skills
• Good leadership skills
• Integrity is key
• A good planner and organizer
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Supervisory experience and qualifications in warehouse and distribution operations
• Good knowledge of ERP systems
