client is an innovative young company that is changing the waste management and
recycling space in Nairobi and beyond.
The
company is currently scaling up its operations and is looking to recruit a
Sales Agronomist responsible for the sales of compost (organic fertilizer).

Key
ResponsibilitiesExecutive Sales Agronomist
- Manage the sales of compost in agricultural areas around Nairobi (Kiambu, Machakos)
- Build and manage relationships with agricultural extension officers, farmer groups and agro-dealers to promote and sell compost
- Organize sales and marketing events
- Teach farmers, farmer groups and distributors on compost and its benefits
- Use the company’s trial farms as a marketing tool with farmers as well as setting up trials with farmers
- Closely tracking and reporting sales and marketing activities
Executive
Sales Agronomist Qualifications and Background
- Bachelors degree in agronomy or related field
- 3 years+ sales experience as an agronomist:
- Experience in on-the-ground selling of fertilizer or related products
- Experience with organic products
- Experience with small-to-medium sized farmers
- Existing contacts and network within the farming community in Kenya
Skills
