Our client is Global non-profit organisation that uses technology to bring digital books  to every child and her family so they can improve their lives.

Our client is looking to hire a pan African Director, who is an experienced leader and will specifically drive the scaling of operations within Africa as well as lead a team in both East and West Africa.

The Pan Africa Director will be responsible for the following:-

• Managing  a talented group of of diverse professionals;
• Identifying and assembling a Pan African advisory group;
• Developing and implementing annual activity work plans and overseeing the implementation of our programs within schools, libraries and communities;
• Representing the organisation with critical stakeholders, including governments and major donor representatives (USAID, DFID), teachers, families and students;
• Coordinating closely with the organizations global team on organizational priorities;
• Identifying and developing partnerships with organizations in the country for expanding programming.

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

• A bachelors' Degree in business, education or any related field,
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience working in the field of International Development, education or any related field;
• A minimum of 5yrs experience in a senior leadership position;
• Must have an excellent record of team leadership and achievement;
• Must have demonstrable knowledge of education in the public sector;
• Should have extensive experience coordinating with and communicating with high level government officials;
• Must have a demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and collaborate with multinational teams;
• Should have strong communication skills, including experience representing an organisation with multiple stakeholders, partners and funders;
• Should have experience in writing project reports in English;
• Experience in working with and or for implementing programs with new technologies will be an added advantage;
• Should have knowledge of monitoring and evaluation techniques; and Good knowledge of French will also be an added advantage;
