Position: Part time Production Assistant
 
Location: Kitisuru, Nairobi

Bintis is an exciting new food brand that’s here to spice things up in the spreads category. We make all natural nut butters and we’re looking for ambitious, driven, friendly team players to join our production team. 

You’ll be the engine that keeps the Bintis machine going and the magic makers and elves that produce Kenya’s finest artisan nut butter.
 
Who we are: We’re a food start-up making the best nut butters South of the Sahara north of the Limpopo. Yes we’re biased but our stone-ground nut butters are life changing…true story.
 
Why we’re literally the best: We live and breathe nut butters. All that time spent with nuts has led to the creation of a range of nut butters that are crazy delicious. 


We source only the finest ingredients and stone grind our nut butters to produce a finished product that often has many people eating it out of the jar with a spoon in the middle of the night!

You’re role: Bintis is looking for happy, friendly, team players who are innately curious, eager to learn new things and have a bordering on obsessed interest in food to join our production team. You’ll need to be able to work well in a team under pressure. 

We’re looking for solution oriented, ridiculously driven people who are keen to work in a start up environment.

We’re a new company so the scope for career advancement with us is as large as you want to make it.
  • Work as part of a production team to produce the nut butters
  • Regular stock taking of ingredients and reordering in a timely manner to ensure we do not run out of ingredients
  • Implementing Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan through out production
  • Processing of new orders, packing nut butters into boxes and arranging for order fulfilment
  • Keeping store organized and practicing stock rotation
  • Cleaning the factory and store on a daily/weekly basis to ensure our nut butters are produced in a hygienic environment

  • A food lover with an interest in packaged foods
  • Innately curious
  • Always looking for new opportunities to learn something or grow as a person
  • Able to work under pressure of tight deadlines
  • A team player ready to go above and beyond for other members in the team and for the business as a whole
Requirements
  • I can’t emphasis food lover enough
  • A curious mind
  • Experience working in food production great but not necessary. We’ll train you.
  • Happy to get involved in all aspects of the business. A willingness to be flexible and adapt to changes and new situations. We’re a start up still figuring things out ;)
