FHI is seeking qualified candidate for the below position:

Technical Advisor – Youth Development

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Reference: 15630

Position Summary:  The Technical Advisor – Youth Development will have responsibilities  for the design , implementation  and technical  quality of strategies and activities that promote  youth development, and youth engagement, particularly focusing on  girls and women, and marginalised  populations.

This position will work collaboratively with other staff and key stakeholders to ensure project objectives are being met.

Minimum Requirements
  • Masters Degree or higher in youth development, social science, and social work or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 6yrs experience designing, implementing and monitoring programs focused on addressing needs of youth in developing countries, preferably Kenya.
  • Knowledge of adolescent development and positive youth development
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, depth and breadth of technical and management expertise and experience, and strong interpersonal, writing and Oral presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations with host country government personnel, stakeholders, NGO partners, and international donor agencies.
  • Strong Interpersonal, writing and Oral presentation skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high volume work flow.
