Nyanza reproductive health Society (NRHS) a non-profit organisation with its headquarters in Kisumu is dedicated to improving reproductive health of men and women.

NRHS has several research and programme projects related to HIV/STI prevention and treatment; it runs support groups for MARPS, and is working with the Ministry of Health to scale up adult and infant  male circumcision for HIV prevention.

Job Vacancy: Head of Finance

Location: Kisumu

Reporting to: Director

Job Description:  To implement  financial  policies and processes of NRHS to ensure that they  are relevant and  functioning efficiently and effectively, to use financial  reports as a tool to monitor and  proactively detect risks and opportunities, to ensure that administrative and financial services  support  to program  is adequate and  timely to oversee  procurement functions.

• Supervise accounting staff across all programme areas
• Establish and maintain effective financial and accounting policies, procedures and systems in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, statutory and donor requirements.
• To liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure timely annual returns
• Lead in the timely and accurate preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly financial reports.
• Collaborate with the principal Investigators (PI) in budget proposal preparation
• Review and approve payments to vendors, local authorities, payroll and other parties.

Qualifications and Experience for Job

• A Masters’ degree in Finance or Accounting or Equivalent
• CPA (K) holder and expert user in QuickBooks ERP software.
• Experience in PEPFAR and other Donor contracts, Cooperative agreements and grant regulations.
• 5 Years Managerial experience
