Vacancy for Sales & Marketing Officer
 
Responsibilities: The primary function of the Sales & Marketing officer is to generate profitable business from the sales of Pump & Power equipment: Large Pumps, Generators, Large Air Compressors.  

Specifically, this position would cater to the market segments of customers who consistently rent/buy power generators, irrigation pump equipment, and have the need of an individual competent in the sales and design of complex power / pump control systems.  

In addition, the candidate will have had prior experience in selling within one or more the following specialty market segments: Sand Blasting, Industrial Coating, Painting, Power Plants, Surface Preparation Contractors, Manufacturing / Processing Plants, Special Event Contractors / Coordinators, Facility Maintenance Contractors, Tent Rental Companies, Party Rental Companies, Remediation / Restoration, General Contractors, HVAC Contractors,  Electrical Contractors, Construction Drying, Generator Service Contractors, Hospitals, Telecommunications, New Home Construction, Schools, Correctional Facilities, or College Campuses.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Maintain positive customer relations through phone contact and site visits
  • Perform formal sales presentations to decision-makers within customer base
  • Communicate with branch personnel to ensure accurate and timely deliveries, repairs, pick-ups, and equipment set-ups
  • Coordinate and participate in strategic entertainment of customers
  • Collect payment from customers and maintain accurate customer records
  • Maintain frequent dialogue with Marketing department, finance dept, and the General Manager regarding new equipment, equipment availability, and sales programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General manager
  • Prompt completion of all administrative duties which include, but are not limited to:
  1. Sales Plans
  2. Sales Reports
  3. Expense Reports
  4. Daily Call Reports
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in gensets, air compressors and water pumps sales is compulsory
  • The ideal candidate will have direct industry experience with generator or power distribution equipment
  • Must have experience in managing projects, new business development, and customer retention
  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Strong technical aptitude is ideal
  • 2 to 4 year degree is preferred in marketing / business administration
