Job Summary: This position is responsible for carrying out maintenance, installation, fabrication, reporting of preventive, and breakdown maintenance.
The technician liaise
with other departments particularly production and tool room to ensure
the plant machinery and equipment are running to the standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Observe health and safety procedures including wearing PPE as required.
- Ensure machines are safe to operate or use after service.
- Carry out annual preventive maintenance and overhauls on machines as per the maintenance schedule.
- Carry out other preventive maintenance on machines as per the maintenance schedule.
- Trouble shoot machine failures, breakdown or problems and propose a solution, then carry out the agreed repair.
- Monitor machine condition and report to the supervisor.
- Recommend spare parts required for maintenance.
- Design and fabricate new tool, equipment or machines as directed by the supervisor.
- Follow maintenance checklist and if none is available develop one and get approval.
- Carry out machine modifications as directed by the supervisor
- Participate in training and train others in the areas of expertise.
- Service or repair company motor vehicles as required.
- Maintain area around the machine and tools clean and tidy.
- Carry out any other duty as may be given by the management
Maintenance Supervisor Skills and Qualifications:
- 2 Years experience is a busy manufacturing industry in similar or equivalent position.
- Good knowledge of equipment maintenance, electrical and electronics Troubleshooting,
- Technical Understanding and Teamwork
Salary Range: KShs 20000 – 40000 depending on experience
