Job Title: Quality Controller – Motor Vehicle Industry

Salary: 120K gross
Our client is a
well-established company in Kenya operating for more than 25 years. They
are market leaders in manufacture and distribution of automotive
accessories.
They seek to hire a
hands-on quality controller to oversee the production operations by
performing regular quality checks, assessments and valuations on end
products.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspection of metal cutting, welding, soldering, brazing, fabricating and grinding techniques and guiding instructions suitable for each product line.
- Monitor work in progress and pursue deadlines as necessary to the respective jobs at hand.
- Ensure all progressive wear and tear of equipments, tools or protective gear is identified and communicated to the Production Director in due time.
- Review and develop quality check procedures while ensuring production standards and duration targets
- Ensure technical drawings are in place for our products with fitting instructions.
- Evaluate, discuss and enforce better routines to improve process flows, turn-around time and service delivery.
- Liaise with the Production Director on revisions to contents and procedures especially on fabricated works, conformity and compatibility.
Skills and Requirements
- Experience handling technical workers in an Industrial work environment
- MINIMUM 3 years experience all of which is in quality control and supervision.
- Mechanical / Production Engineering degree or equivalent qualification relevant in steel products environment.
- Computer Aided Design (CAD)
- Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM).
- Mandatory Operational experience in fabrication, welding, powder coating oven and state of the art computer-aided-manufacturing systems (e.g. Plasma Cutters, tube bending) for specialized steel/aluminum products.
- Attention to detail, good record keeping as well as monitoring and evaluation.
