Request for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Provision of Internal Audit Services

The Privatization Commission (PC) is a State Corporation established under Section 3 of the Privatization Act, 2005 to formulate, manage and implement the Government Privatization Programme.
 

The Commission intends to identify and retain an auditing firm with diverse skills necessary to assist the Commission Board and Management achieve set standards and objectives and ensure that all the Commission’s internal audit needs are addressed adequately.

The Audit firm must demonstrate that it possesses the knowledge, skills and other competencies needed to perform its responsibilities with due professional care. 

 

In this regard, interested auditing firms are required to submit the following documentation as a proof of their competencies:

• A company profile indicating the physical address, telephone contact, organizational chart and a list of major clients.
• Provide statutory legislation documents:

1. A copy of a Valid Tax Compliance/Clearance certificate.
2. A copy of the VAT Registration certificate.
3. A copy of Certificate of Incorporation/ Registration.

• Information that demonstrates their technical ability and experience in carrying out similar assignments in the last five (5) years.
• Curriculum Vitae of at least three (3) key personnel proposed for the assignment. 
• The proposed team leader for the assignment must have at least seven years’ experience in carrying out internal audit services and must have a degree in finance, commerce or equivalent qualifications from a recognized university. A Masters degree will be an added advantage.
• In addition, the team leader must also be a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and/or a Certified Public Accountant from an institution that is affiliated to the International Federation of Accountants.
• Recommendation letters from at least three (3) clients in client’s letterhead.

Request for Proposal Documents will be issued only to the shortlisted firms.

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) enclosed in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked Tender No. PC/EOI/01/2015-2016- “Expression of Interest for Provision of Internal Audit Services” should be addressed to:

The EOIs should be deposited in the Tender box on 11th Floor, Extelcoms House, Haile Selassie Avenue, Nairobi on or before 17th June 2015 at 1200 noon.

Expressions of Interest will be opened thereafter in the Commission’s main boardroom on 11th Floor, Extelcoms House, Nairobi in the presence of firms or their representatives who choose to attend.

Firms which have been contracted to carry out transaction advisory work for the Commission will not be considered for this assignment.
